Our top pick is the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2. It's for anyone who wants a high-end robot vacuum and mop without paying for the most expensive model. It has the strongest suction in this comparison (25,000 Pa), washes its mops at 80 °C and avoids more than 280 types of obstacles. If your budget is tight, the iRobot Roomba 115 Combo is the most sensible alternative, backed by more than 32,000 reviews.

The four models at a glance

We picked four robot vacuums that cover every price range, from entry-level to premium. All of them have an Amazon rating of at least 4.3 out of 5, but the number of reviews varies enormously from one model to the next.

Roborock Qrevo Edge 2: the most complete for the money

The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 stacks up the arguments on paper: 25,000 Pa of suction, the highest figure in this comparison, and mop washing at 80 °C, which helps cut down on odors and greasy residue. Its ability to avoid more than 280 obstacles is a real plus if cables, socks or toys tend to end up on the floor.

Its weak point is track record: with just over 1,500 reviews, it has been tested by far fewer owners than the Roomba or the Lefant. And at nearly 550 euros, it's a real investment.

iRobot Roomba 115 Combo: the best value

The iRobot Roomba 115 Combo is by far the cheapest, and it also has the most reviews: more than 32,000, with a 4.3 rating. That's a reliability signal that's hard to ignore. It vacuums and mops, and its LiDAR navigation with multi-floor mapping is a nice surprise at this price.

On the flip side, its 15 kPa suction is the weakest in the comparison, and there's no mention of a self-emptying or self-cleaning dock. Expect more hands-on maintenance than with the pricier models.

Dreame L40s Pro Ultra: the highest rated, for thresholds

The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra earns the best rating of the bunch (4.5 from more than 2,500 reviews). Its HyperStream dual brush targets hair and fur that tends to tangle, and its ability to climb 4 cm obstacles is welcome in homes with door thresholds or thick rugs.

But it's the most expensive, and its claimed suction (19,000 Pa) is lower than the Roborock's, which costs 150 euros less. It mostly makes sense if climbing over obstacles is your priority.

Lefant M210 Pro Omni: decent, but stuck in the middle

The Lefant M210 Pro Omni offers 20,000 Pa of suction and a self-cleaning mini mop roller, with a 4.3 rating from nearly 21,000 reviews, a reassuring volume. Check its 9.9 cm height against the clearance under your furniture before buying.

Its problem is positioning: at nearly 280 euros, it costs almost twice as much as the Roomba, without the proven reliability or the advanced features of the Roborock and Dreame models.

Which one should you buy?

For most households, the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 offers the best all-round package. If you just want a reliable robot for everyday cleaning, the iRobot Roomba 115 Combo is more than enough. The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra is worth the price for homes with thresholds or lots of pet hair.

      Questions people ask

What is the best robot vacuum right now?

In our comparison, the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 is the best overall choice thanks to its strong 25,000 Pa suction, 80 °C mop washing and obstacle avoidance. The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra is rated higher by buyers, but it costs more.

Which robot vacuum should I buy on a budget?

The iRobot Roomba 115 Combo is the best pick on a small budget. It vacuums and mops, has LiDAR navigation and more than 32,000 reviews, but its suction is the weakest in the comparison.

Roborock vs Dreame: which should I choose?

The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 is the better buy for most people, since it's cheaper and claims stronger suction. The Dreame L40s Pro Ultra stands out with its higher rating and its ability to climb 4 cm obstacles.

Does suction power in Pa matter?

It matters, but it's not the only factor. Navigation, the brush, obstacle avoidance and automatic maintenance affect day-to-day results as much as the pascal figure the manufacturer advertises.

Can a robot vacuum and mop replace a regular mop?

For routine cleaning of hard floors, yes in most cases. For stubborn stains or a deep clean, you'll usually still need to mop by hand from time to time.
